Shit, I’d never been happier to see that son of a bitch in my life!

“You grab her. I’ll guard the perimeter,” a voice came from behind the door, and I could have sworn that was Kato who was talking to Reese.

“Heh, I usually don’t vanish far with a plus one.”

“Make her an exception.”

Kato took off, back into the church from where he broke in, the sound of gargling and shrieking catching my ringing ears. Reese rushed to my side, the look on his face screaming at me. But I was more worried about Cade, who… had been there a second ago…
